Pheasant for Dinner

Keith skinned and gutted his very first pheasant this morning, and it is now cooking slowly in the boatman's cabin stove. We are both looking forward to it, the pheasant that is!

Bagged a pheasant! I bet he felt as thrilled as I did when I got my first tuna last month. Nothing beats being able to feed one's family from the bounty of the earth, without a trip to the grocery store. :)

Hello Rosemary, I didn't shoot this one, someone gave it to us, but I am looking forward to actually shooting my first bird for eating.
